There is a whole slew of things I want to cover. (Actually, not really. I just wanted to use the word slew.) First of all it is my grandma's birthday today. I think she is 88, I'm not sure though. We had a little pizza party over at her house and my mom made a yummy butterscotch cake.

Second, there was a lunar eclipse tonight so I busted out the family telescope while there was good seeing. (Thats astronomy terms for "a good night to view the sky when there is no wind, cosmic dust or such in the way.") 
I tried taking a picture with my camera through the telescope which only kind of worked. Stupid moon kept moving. It was still really neat to see. 
The next total lunar eclipse will not happen until 2010.

The little dot to the left of the moon is Saturn. That was really cool! You can see the rings, some strips on the planet and a couple of it's moons. 
Of course my little camera won't pick that stuff out. In fact it didn't even want to focus on the planet as you can tell. We still enjoyed looking at it though.

Wow, wow, and double wow; it sure is fun to say that word [judging by the comments here!]. Yes it was quite a sight to see saturn's rings. Never thought I would be able to see them. Thanks, Megan!
